The skirt season has finally arrived: at + 16°C and with gentle spring sun I can wear my feminine pieces . In March, I adore pairing skirts to boots. A knee-high boot protect make me still feel comfortable with the weather while keeping the legs bare. A stylish coverup is a must. I prefer warm chunky cardigans for the day, and for a night out I would switch it for a 70s style fur coat.

Для дня я предпочитаю теплые вязаные кардиганы, а для вечернего выхода я меняю их на шубу в стиле 70-х.
Two skirts are better than one! This is my latest style resolution. Layering gives some extra texture to basic everyday outfits. Like in this look where I wore an open red ‘pareo’ above a denim mini skirt. Red and milky white match amazingly with khaki shades. So I added my military bomber on the top. And the leopard mules is my favorite spice!

Considering all my love for dresses, I’m starting wearing them as often as possible. In March, they are just made to be worn with a trench coat. A classic one works great, but this season I prefer a patent leather one by Isabel Marant. It makes every look edgier. This colorful Marylin dress with a sexy cutout on the belly is one of my favorites for spring. I like accessorising it with a chain belt.

For an evening date, I choose a cocktail dress. This pleated mini is very trendy right now. It’s feminine and elegant, so I decided to wear it with cowboy boots and patent leather coat to reinvent its look. Chunky jewerly helps to create a strong image. I opted for a statement vintage bracelet and big rhinestone ear-clips.

Balenciaga’s designer Demna Gvasalia threw all his forces both to help and to make the world speak about Ukraine. At the fashion show in Paris he distributed T-shirts with Ukrainian national flag, and two looks in blue in yellow symbolised the country on the runway.

Balenciaga also managed to delete all the posts when the war started, and to dedicate their page (followed by almost 13 millions of people) to Ukrainian flag and call for charity donations at the special platform https://wfpukraine.balenciaga.com that will be destined to food supplies in the country by World Food Programme. After a couple of days, Balenciaga deleted the Ukrainian flag from profile and started to post their fashion show images. The link to donation, however, remains in their bio.

Kering Group led by François-Henri Pinault, will be donating for the refugees through UNHCR, the United Nations Refugees Agency. Gucci itself also send their $500 000 dollars contribution to this organisation. Today the amount of refugees from Ukraine is about 2 millions of people.

Jacquemus announced that they stand with Ukraine in a special national-flag post on Instagram: ‘ We stand for peace and started supporting medical and humanitarian help for Ukrainian refugees. Follow the link in bio to donate’. It should have been a short donation programme. The link is not present on their bio anymore – now there’s the brand’s online store again.

Chanel is supporting Ukraine by donating 2 million euros to charity organisations, and they promise to support Ukrainian women and families even after the end of the crisis via Foundation Chanel. The brand will also support their employees who are searching for alternative donation structures.

It will donate first direct economic support to families on the run to help them cope with the most urgent needs’.

Collaborating with Vicenza city in Italy, OTB Foundation will help in a very precise way: they will organise camions to deliver humanitarian help to Ukraine’s border, and the buses to take people on the border and bring them in Italy. He will collaborate to provide accommodations for the refugees here in Italia.

Going in the direction of extreme femininity, opt for a skirt or a dress to complete the look with a signature piece of lingerie. I love the tandem of a bustier with a pale silk draped skirt and a chain necklace. So chic! Or think a little black dress – in this case, a 100% unzipping one.

Just look how cinematographic is this combination of a classic lace set with a lacquered trench – just like a scene from ‘Belle du Jour’. And a simple long blazer in leather gives a 1990s touch – as from ‘Basic Instinct’.

For a lunch with your sweetheart at noon, opt for classics with some unexpected details. A mini dress in denim worn with high boots will make him think he’s sharing the table with an actress from the 1960s epoch. I like the idea of a chunky chain belt that looks both trendy and very sexy.

Bustier? He couldn’t dream about anything like this. I love this tweed piece that feels like a provocative Chanel. With a pair of jeans it becomes balanced and fit for urban scenery. If you can’t but wear sandals on occasion, just add a pair of tights not to feel comfortable.

Your loved one suggested to have a car ride to the most amazing restaurant out of the city gates? Dress for the roadtrip! A denim mini skirt and Texas boots will give the right vibe. Pair them to something feminine – like a short tweed jacket to keep it romantic.

Clifford Coffin is often named the greatest of Vogue magazine’s ‘lost’ photographers – and it’s easy to see why. His career was very brief, the majority of the works were ruined in the fire in his studio, and today it’s almost impossible to find much information about him. Still, his images were, without doubt, some of the best and innovative of the 1950s.

I would call him ‘A Perfectionist’. His pictures are well-constructed to the smallest detail, and every element seems to be exactly on its place. From manicured red nails to perfectly combed hairs of a fur coat, the model looks almost artificial.

One of his most iconic editorials was this summer beach story for Vogue USA in 1949. The way he placed the models in bathing suits in the sand and shot them from the back was similar to a Surrealist painting. And at the same time forecasted the arrival of Pop Art aesthetics.

In spite of he was one of the most sought-after photographers of late 40s and 50s, Coffin had no ambition to create a ‘personal brand’ as we say it today. He did no exhibitions and never published any books or archive photographs.

When he decided that he had no interest in doing fashion photography anymore (or lost his interest for work in general, because he was a wild drinker and partying dandy), he slipped away from the business and stopped his production completely already in 1960s. Still, he left for us a real treasure – some of the most inspiring, refined and perfect images of the last century.
