What’s Not In Fashion For 2023

Fashion moves quickly, yesterday brought trendy outfit looks out of place at a cool party now. But we don’t want to look inappropriate, do we? So let’s take a look at the main anti-trends for the upcoming spring-summer season. And, of course, we’ll go over how to spot them.

Мода меняется очень быстро — не успеешь глазом моргнуть, как еще вчера трендовый наряд уже выглядит неуместно на классной вечеринке. Но мы ведь не хотим выглядеть неуместно, верно? Leopard pattern
Move over, leopard! According to the latest collections, a python will rule the trend book for next spring. For courage, watch David Lynch’s film “Wild at Heart,” in which Nicolas Cage wears a python skin jacket — it was his character who inspired designer Khaite to create this color.

Neon colors
Of course, a simple bow is a timeless classic. If you want something more vibrant, try using a gradient to smooth out the color. The color does not change abruptly, but in soft transitions, as on Peter Do raincoats or Ferragamo dresses. The degrade effect is especially appealing on knitwear, as seen in the Etro knitted dress. And instead of neon lemon, a muted yellow outfit is preferable. It looks stunning in total looks, as seen at Max Mara, or in contrast with blue denim, as seen at Loewe.

Blumarine’s collection is reminiscent of 2000s fashion, while Miu Miu’s collection is reminiscent of the 1990s. Diesel options are difficult to compare to any other era — this denim appears to be from another planet.

The era of bottomless pockets has arrived! Pockets are so large that they can hold everything you need from a lady’s handbag. Designers frequently create overhead pockets. Louis Vuitton dresses get a whole pocket system. Pockets are attached to the belt at Sacai. Roomy compartments go with everything at Miu Miu, including vests, windbreakers, crop tops, and belts.

This style combines business formal and casual styles. Basically, it’s about mixing formal and less formal pieces of clothing to create an outfit that is comfortable and respectable without being offensively casual towards co-workers.

Elegant business skirts, trousers of different colors, business and casual shirts, blazers, suits… One of the essential components of a business woman’s wardrobe is a blazer. This is a business thing, so in business casual style a casual thing should complement it. Pair it with a casual shirt, jeans, chinos or a light dress to keep the look simple, but still semi-formal.

В деловом гардеробе есть базовые вещи, которые должны быть у каждой женщины. Элегантные деловые юбки, брюки разных цветов, деловые и повседневные рубашки, блейзеры, костюмы… Что касается стиля business casual одной из неотъемлемых составляющих гардероб является блейзер. A business dress is a very formal piece that should be carefully paired to achieve a less formal look. Try wearing it with an oversized linen blazer, a bright trench coat or a thick sweater for a more casual office setting.

The pants themselves are easy to pair with anything: wear them with one of your favorite tailored shirts, a casual tweed blazer, or a light sweater and flats. This is one of the most comfortable outfits you can create for your day at the office.

A jacket and lingerie – all times classics! – was one of my key ideas for this styling. I can’t stop admiring how iconic is the paring of a sensual lace bra and a masculine blazer or a leather jacket. And the details like statement ear clips, a hat and a pair of stockings rise the temperature.

Going in the direction of extreme femininity, opt for a skirt or a dress to complete the look with a signature piece of lingerie. I love the tandem of a bustier with a pale silk draped skirt and a chain necklace. So chic! Or think a little black dress – in this case, a 100% unzipping one.

Just look how cinematographic is this combination of a classic lace set with a lacquered trench – just like a scene from ‘Belle du Jour’. And a simple long blazer in leather gives a 1990s touch – as from ‘Basic Instinct’.

The styling idea behind the shooting was the Milanese style, the essence of the city’s approach to impeccable chic and everyday luxury. The Milanese ladies know how to mix classic items with trendy and daring details in order to create a look that you will always note while walking the streets of Italy’s fashion capital.

An iconic trench coat with contrasting details, texturized laquer coat, a fringed jacket, an oversize check blazer: the Milanese know how important a right piece of outerwear is. They spice it with colorful plastic sunglasses (yes, even during the cold season!), statement earrings and croc effect bags.

Культовый бежевый тренч с контрастными вставками, текстурированное лаковое пальто, жакет с бахромой, клетчатый блейзер оверсайз: миланки знают, насколько важна правильная верхняя одежда. Они приправляют ее яркими пластиковыми солнцезащитными очками (да, даже в холодное время года!), эффектными серьгами и сумками с тиснением под кожу крокодила.

For a night out, they bet on a dress: as a rule, a feminine and edgy midi in black or nude, styled with heavy chain necklaces, lace chokers, a variety of bracelets and rings, and a small evening bag with a long strap to feel comfortable while drinking their prosecco.

My Hot Milanese Days

After a long (but pleasant!) lockdown in Istanbul, I’m finally back in Milan. I’ve missed my city so much! Now I’m enjoying Italian life to the maximum, drinking excellent espresso every day (it was hard being without it in Turkey), walking the elegant streets, visiting my favorite bars and hanging out with old friends. But the most important for me is to be back to work again. Now my days pass at high speed, organizing the shootings, styling fashion stories and exploring the new collections in showrooms.

После затянувшегося (но приятного!) локдауна в Стамбуле я наконец-то вернулась в Милан. Как же соскучилась по любимому городу! Теперь я наслаждаюсь итальянской жизнью по максимуму, пью отличный эспрессо каждый день (без него было особенно тяжело в Турции), прогуливаюсь по элегантным улицам, хожу в модные бары и вижусь со старыми друзьями. Но самое главное для меня – снова вернуться к работе. Сейчас мои дни пролетают на огромной скорости: я организовываю съемки, стилизую фотосессии и присматриваюсь к новым коллекциям в шоу-румах брендов, чтобы выбрать одежду для шутинга.

Of course, there was some shopping as well! I’m so happy about these crimson transparent sunglasses with clubbing vibe of the early 2000s: thanks to this buy, even the simplest outfit seems cooler. I love wearing them with a short-sleeved Hawaiian shirt and wide-brimmed hat – just like Johnny Depp’s character in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas! I combine this shirt with short shorts and a long boho belt, and wear my new Tod’s denim loafers instead of sandals, which is much more comfortable in Milan.

Я невероятно довольна покупкой этих алых полупрозрачных очков в стиле клубных 2000-х: благодаря этому аксессуару даже самый простой образ теперь звучит по-новому. Мне нравится носить из в компании гавайской рубашки с коротким рукавом и широкополой шляпы – прямо как герой Джонни Деппа в фильме “Страх и ненависть в Лас-Вегасе”! Я надеваю рубашку с короткими шортами и длинным поясом в стиле бохо, а вместо сандалий ношу джинсовые лоферы, в которых очень удобно в Милане.

Location search is another exciting thing to do while preparing for a fashion shooting. This is how I discovered the QC Terme at Porta Romana, the most stylish spa in the heart of the city! Waiting for our model, I’ve made friends with these gorgeous dogs that will later appear in the photo shot! Here, I’m mastering the nonchalant swimming pool chic, wearing an oversize man’s shirt over my swimming suit, my denim loafers and 50s style sunglasses.

Поиск локации – самая захватывающая часть в подготовке к модной съемке. Именно так я открыла для себя QC Terme в районе Porta Romana, самый стильный спав центре города! В ожидании модели я подружилась с этими роскошными собаками, которые позже появятся в кадре! В тот день я решила одеться в стиле фильма “Бассейн” с Роми Шнайдер, надев мужскую рубашку-оверсайз поверх купальника, и дополнив образ джинсовыми лоферами и солнцезащитными очками в стиле 50-х.

And the end of the working at the shooting I let myself relax in the spa, drinking my aperitivo in this beautiful garden. A joyful yellow swimsuit is perfect for this moment. And just look how good it looks with my classic red Valentino rockstud bag!

После окончания съемок я наконец-то могу расслабиться в спа, заказав аперитив прямо в этом прекрасном саду. Яркий желтый купальник идеально подходит для этого момента. И посмотрите, как хорошо он смотрится с моей классической красной сумкой Valentino!

Лето зимой: 3 моих образа с Miami Art Basel

Сменить миланские +10 на +25 в Майами – лучшее, что могло случиться со мной в начале декабря. Не говоря уже про пляж, на который мы с подругой выбирались после завтрака, чтобы зарядиться энергией солнца для предстоящего дня, насыщенного выставками и презентациями современного искусства: именно за последним мы отправились на Miami Art Basel.

Switching from +10 in Milan to +25 in Miami is the best thing that could have happened to me at the beginning of December. And there was a sunny beach, where my friend and I headed every morning after breakfast to charge on some solar energy that we needed later to hit all the exhibitions and contemporary art presentations: this is what we came for to Miami Art Basel!

For morning coffee I chose a simple normcore jumpsuit with sporty vibes from a sustainable Scandinavian-Italian brand 5preview and spiced it with a pair of chic kitten-heeled mules.

Для тура по павильонам Базеля нужно было что-то смелое и артистичное: именно поэтому я выбрала деконструированную юбку из денима Max Rieny с джинсовым шлейфом. Она настолько эффектная, что в остальном я обошлась простой футболкой и босоножками цвета фуксии.

For a tour around Art Basel, you need something bright and arty: that’s why I chose a deconstructed denim skirt with a long train by Max Rieny. It was such a statement piece that in the rest of the look I needed no more than a t-shirt and a pair of fuchsia sandals.

3 trends to spice your summer like a pro

As it is with everything, some trends die out, other ones take over. While classics last a long time, fashion with its trends create this constant need for change and modification, leading some trends to die out shortly after they arise. Here is what we found to be the most important bites of current summer.

1. Bucket Hats, the new hat trend

If you thought the straw hats were a thing, think again. This summer, let your straw hat down and flaunt the bucket hat trend. Be it monochrome, printed, dyed out, or other, it is what you’ll be seeing a whole lot more of this summer! You can find them almost anywhere. We chose the Prada and Gucci bucket hats for these summer days.

Если вы думаете, что соломенные шляпы это вещь, подумайте снова. Этим летом оставьте свою соломенную шляпу дома и красуйтесь в последнем  тренде панаме. Будь то монохром, узорчистая, окрашенная, или любая другая, это – то, что вы будете видеть намного больше этим летом! Вы можете найти их почти где угодно. Мы выбирали панамы Prada и Гуччи для этого лета.

2. Statement Swimsuits

While simple string bikini, was once the go-to trend in swimsuits, this year will host statement pieces in the marine world. This Eres one-piece really sums it up!

3. Mini shoulder bags, the new “Fanny pack” trend

What we’ve seen a lot of this year was the fanny pack, aka bum bag. But this trend is not here to stay this summer: mini shoulder bags are the new spice. Find them in your favourite neon colour for the best look, as we did with this Fendi Baguette bag, or a more neutral look with this Paula Ibiza bag from Loewe.

То что мы много видели в этом году было поясной сумкой. Но эта тенденция не останется этим летом: мини-сумки на ремне – новая перчинка. Найдите их в своем любимом неоновом цвете для лучшего образа, как мы сделали с этим багетом Fendi или более нейтральным образом с этой сумкой из колекции Паула Ибица от Loewe.
