As a stylist, I’ve always lived for those front-row moments that make your heart skip — when you realize you’re watching history, not just hemlines. Milan Fashion Week 2025 promises exactly that: fresh creative visions, tear-jerking farewells, and an avalanche of “Did you see that?” conversations. Let me tell you what I’m counting down to.

Gucci: Demna’s First Step Into Italian Territory

Gucci is opening MFW with the debut of Demna as its new artistic director. After shaking up Balenciaga, he’s now stepping into the Italian giant’s atelier, and honestly — I can’t wait. Will he bring oversized hoodies to the runway under the Florentine double-G? Or will he surprise us with quiet tailoring? Either way, it’s Gucci’s most exciting reset in years, and it sets the tone for the week.

This is the first time in Versace’s history that a non-family member will shape the house codes. As someone who grew up pinning Versace moodboards on my wall, this feels surreal — and I’m curious, maybe a little nervous, but mostly thrilled.

And honestly — who wouldn’t want to witness that?

Eternal Elegance: Gian Paolo Barbieri returns to Milan fashion week

Milan Fashion Week always feels like a storm of heels, flashbulbs, and late-night franciacorta. But this year, I’m carving out a quieter moment — because from 26 September 2025, Zurich Italy and Zurich Bank will present Eternal Elegance by Gian Paolo Barbieri, the inaugural exhibition in their brand-new space on Via Santa Margherita 11.

Но в этом году я собираюсь вырвать для себя более тихий момент — ведь с 26 сентября 2025 года Zurich Italy и Zurich Bank представят выставку Eternal Elegance Джан Паоло Барбьери — первую экспозицию в их новом пространстве на Via Santa Margherita 11.

Barbieri’s work is more movie than still – I’ve always thought that. Vogue Arabia notes that Milan-born Barbieri “elevated fashion to an art form by infusing it with the narrative language of cinema and theatre”. It shows. One photo haunts me: Eva Herzigová, the swirl of her dress and a forkful of spaghetti under a Roman moonlight sky. Another: Monica Bellucci cloaked in smoke and silk. He even once hoisted a camel into a Missoni campaign – pure fantasy come to life. Each frame is so rich with detail and drama that I swear I can almost smell the spices in the air or hear the lullaby of a distant accordion. In Barbieri’s world, “fashion met anthropology, nature and pure fantasy”, and indeed “fashion without art is naked.” Each image is a living scene: a myth spun in chiffon and velvet that feels both timeless and intensely alive.

As a fashion-obsessed dreamer, Barbieri’s upcoming show is my kind of pilgrimage. The gallery promises “previously unseen photographs, delicate yet haunting portraits and bold, theatrical tableaux” straight from the man’s own archive. Can you imagine? I long to stand inches from those prints, to see how decades-old makeup catches the light or how a gown’s beadwork is cradled in shadow. When I style my own shoots, I chase that same feeling: pictures that stick with you long after the camera clicks. Barbieri built worlds in his frames; he was “not just a photographer, but a painter of dreams”. Being among that collection feels like being taught by a master. I’ll be there with my notebook and maybe a cup of strong Italian coffee in hand, ready to scribble down every detail that catches my eye.

Villas, Lobster & Boats – perfect escape in the Gulf islands

I went to the Gulf islands without a grand plan — just a suitcase, a playlist, and a soft idea that “island time” would sort the rest out. What surprised me most was discovering that August (yes, August) can be one of the most comfortable months to visit Gulf islands: warm, beach-friendly days and — for us — quiet, almost private stretches of sand. The weather in Ko Samui in August tends to be warm with pleasant highs around the high 20s–low 30s °C, which made long beach afternoons totally doable. Here’s how the trip unfolded — hotels I adored, meals I still dream about, and the easy packing rules I’m sworn to after days spent barefoot.

Я отправилась на острова без большого плана — только чемодан, плейлист и лёгкое чувство, что «островное время» само всё уладит. Больше всего меня удивило то, что август (да, август) может быть одним из самых комфортных месяцев для поездки на тайские острова: тепло, идеальные пляжные дни и — для нас — почти пустые пляжи, словно они были нашими. Погода на Ко Самуи в августе оказалась тёплой, с приятными дневными температурами, что делало долгие пляжные вечера очень приятными. Ниже — как прошла поездка: мои любимые отели, блюда, о которых я до сих пор мечтаю, и правила сборки чемодана, которые я безгранично советую после дней проведённых босиком.

Koh Samui felt like the softest start: reserved beaches, warm water, and not a crowd in sight. My absolute favorite hideaway was Vana Belle — their pool villas are the kind of rooms that make you forget you ever had a to-do list. Private pools, attentive, tailor-made guest care and an honest sense of calm that’s rare even on postcard-perfect islands. It’s the kind of place that reads like luxury but feels like someone carefully arranged serenity just for you.

Ко Самуи был мягким началом: спокойные пляжи, тёплая вода и почти никакой толпы. Мой абсолютный фаворит — Vana Belle: их pool-villas — это те самые номера, которые заставляют забыть о списке дел. Приватные бассейны, внимательный персонал и ощущение спокойствия, которого так не хватает даже на идеальных открытках. Это место выглядит как роскошь, но ощущается как специально устроенная для тебя безмятежность.

On the other end of the spectrum — but still a gem — we found a more budget-friendly option: Chaweng Paradise (our villa felt like a small treasure with sea views mere steps away). For those who want sea-on-the-doorstep without the ultra-luxe price tag, this was a smart pick: a villa with a terrace facing the water and that rare island privacy.

На другом конце шкалы — но всё равно настоящее сокровище — более бюджетный вариант: Chaweng Paradise (нам посчастливилось жить в вилле с видом на море в трёх метрах от воды). Для тех, кто хочет море у двери и при этом не переплачивать за ультра-люкс, это отличный выбор: терраса, выходящая прямо на воду, и редкое островное чувство уединения.

Gourmet notes — I will never stop thinking about:

  • Sala Thai — classic, fresh, and really true to Samui’s flavors. (A definite revisit if you love local recipes.)
  • Benzo Sushi — perfect for nights when you want something light and refined.
  • Sabienglae — fresh lobster done right; island seafood is a reason to travel in itself.
  • Phensiri — authentic Samui recipes, many of them centuries old, prepared with pride.

Koh Phangan surprised me with how easy it is to escape the headline-Full-Moon scene. We stayed at Santhiya (Santhiya Koh Phangan Resort & Spa) — a dream of teak, bamboo and private corners. One practical luxury that mattered most: the hotel’s private speedboat transfer. Walking off the dock at the hotel rather than being herded with crowds made all the difference. If you, like me, value calm arrivals and departures, that private transfer felt indulgent and utterly worth it.

Ко Панган удивил тем, как легко здесь можно уйти от массовых тусовок Full Moon. Мы останавливались в Santhiya (Santhiya Koh Phangan Resort & Spa) — ода тёку и бамбуку, уединённым уголкам и тёплой атмосфере. Практическая роскошь, которая действительно имеет значение: у отеля есть частный трансфер на лодке. Высадиться прямо у берега отеля, а не быть втянутыми в общую массу — это очень ценно. Если вы любите спокойные приезды и отъезды, этот трансфер ощущается как маленькая роскошь и стоит своих денег.

There’s a little magic here called the bamboo wonderland — perfect for wandering, reading in the rain, and feeling like the world has slowed to a whisper. For dinners, we became regulars at 55 Beach Restaurant — toes in sand, a grill that won us over every night, and simple live music that made everything feel celebratory.

Здесь есть волшебное место — бамбуковая «страна чудес» — идеально для прогулок, чтения под дождём и ощущения, что мир замедлил ход. Мы почти всегда ужинали на пляже в 55 Restaurant: ноги в песке, гриль, от которого невозможно было устоять, и живая музыка, делающая вечер праздничным.

A delicious surprise: Anantara’s Yukinoya sushi on Phangan was as good as any I’ve had in Japan — delicate, precise, and somehow completely at home on an island. If you love sushi, don’t skip it.

Ещё один сюрприз — Anantara и их суши: на острове они были настолько хороши, что напоминали еду в Японии — деликатно и точно. Если вы любите суши, этот опыт не стоит пропускать.

Packing — the best travel styling tip you’ll get from me

This trip kicked any “what should I wear” anxiety out of my suitcase. You don’t need the wardrobe of a metropolis here. My uniform for nearly the entire stay: flip-flops (or barefoot), bikini, pareo, a light linen shirt, and whichever dress I would wear most at home. Pack light. Pack favorites. The islands reward you for the simplicity.

Мой гардероб почти на весь отдых: шлёпанцы (или вовсе босиком), купальник, парео, лёгкая льняная рубашка и то платье, которое вы носите чаще всего дома. Путешествуйте налегке. Берите любимые вещи. Острова радуют простотой.

Little rules I swear by after this trip

  • Go in the shoulder/low season if you can — you might find the beaches almost to yourself. (We did.)
  • Book at least one hotel with a private transfer if you value calm arrivals (Santhiya’s private boat is a lovely example)
  • Eat where the locals and hotel staff point you — the best dishes are rarely on the glossy top-10 lists.

August in Thailand taught me that island travel doesn’t always mean blistering crowds and bad weather. For us it was warm sea days, empty beaches, and more attention to made-to-measure service than I’d expected. Between Vana Belle’s pool villas, our little sea-view Chaweng villa, the cliffside calm of Santhiya and surprise-sushi at Anantara — this trip was an ode to slow luxury and delicious discoveries. If you want a trip that’s about gentle mornings, barefoot afternoons and meals you’ll dream about, put these islands on your list — and pack light.

Август в Таиланде доказал мне: островные поездки вовсе не обязательно означают толпы и плохую погоду. Для нас это были тёплые дни у моря, пустые пляжи и индивидуальное внимание, большее, чем я ожидала. Между pool-виллами Vana Belle, нашей маленькой виллой в Chaweng, уединением Santhiya и удивительно хорошими суши в Anantara — это путешествие стало одой медленной роскоши и вкусным открытиям. Если вы хотите отдыха про мягкие утра, босые вечера и ужины, о которых будешь мечтать — добавьте эти острова в список и собирайте вещи по-лёгкому.

Mother Nature: celebrating sisterhood, motherhood and feminine power of nature

I’m very excited to share with you my latest editorial, freshly published in L’Officiel Baltics – Mother Nature. This project is very close to my heart because it was created with an all-female team, which made the process itself a true reflection of the story we wanted to tell.

Я с радостью делюсь с вами своей новой съёмкой, которая только что вышла в L’Officiel Baltics — Mother Nature. Этот проект для меня особенно значим, потому что он создан исключительно женской командой, и сам процесс работы стал отражением той истории, которую мы хотели рассказать.

We called it Mother Nature for a reason. For us, nature has always been feminine: nurturing yet powerful, soft yet unshakably strong. In many ways, it mirrors sisterhood and motherhood — those invisible threads that tie women together through support, care, and collaboration.

Мы назвали его Mother Nature не случайно. Для нас природа всегда была женской: заботливой и одновременно сильной, мягкой и в то же время несокрушимой. Во многом она отражает и сестринство, и материнство — те невидимые нити, которые связывают женщин через поддержку, заботу и сотрудничество.

From the very beginning, I wanted the styling and art direction to feel like an embrace between women and nature. A union where colors, textures, and silhouettes flow seamlessly, much like rivers and branches that intertwine. Every choice — from the palettes to the simplicity of the pieces — was made to highlight that strength doesn’t need to shout. It can be elegant, understated, and deeply meaningful.

С самого начала я хотела, чтобы стилизация и арт-направление передавали это слияние женщины и природы. Союз, где цвета, фактуры и силуэты перетекают друг в друга, как реки и ветви, переплетённые между собой. Каждый выбор — от палитры до простоты образов — был продуман, чтобы показать: сила не обязана быть громкой. Она может быть элегантной, лаконичной, глубокой и очень значимой.

The energy on set was truly inspiring. Working with a team of women felt like creating inside a safe space — full of encouragement, creativity, and that unique feminine force that keeps everything alive.

Энергия на съёмочной площадке была невероятной. Работать с командой женщин — значит творить в пространстве поддержки и вдохновения, где царит особая женская энергия, создающая и оживляющая всё вокруг.

I see Mother Nature as more than an editorial — it’s a visual love letter to women, to the way we nurture and uplift one another, and to the timeless force of the feminine.

Mother Nature — это не просто съёмка editorial, а визуальное письмо о любви к женщинам, к тому, как мы умеем поддерживать и вдохновлять друг друга, и к вечной силе женственности.

There’s something poetic about the way light hits a weathered vase on a sun-warmed terrace, or how a single piece of ceramic art can change the mood of a garden corner. In 2025, the line between indoor and outdoor design continues to blur — and personally, I couldn’t be more excited. These days, I find myself styling terraces and balconies with the same care as a living room. It’s not just about lush furniture or large-scale landscaping anymore. It’s about the details: the texture of a handwoven rug underfoot, the elegance of sculptural vases filled with seasonal branches, and the glow of ambient lighting that softens the night. Whether you’re designing a countryside patio, a small city balcony, or just refreshing a sunny corner of your home, the trend is clear — comfort, craft, and connection with nature rule.

Есть что-то поэтичное в том, как солнечный свет касается старинной вазы на тёплой террасе, или как одно керамическое изделие может изменить настроение сада. Outdoor design in 2025 is embracing a warm, relaxed elegance. Terracotta tones, cool neutrals, and botanical greens shape this year’s palette. Materials feel grounded and tactile: think linen cushions, bamboo lighting, hand-thrown pottery, and weathered woods. The magic lies in the layers — a mix of accessories and accents that add depth and personality. A concrete sculpture here, a vintage lantern there. An oversized leafy plant softening a sharp corner. These pieces don’t just decorate, they tell stories.

A way to bring softness and spirit into everyday life.

Soft Power: my Whisper of Luxury in new fashion story for L’officiel Baltics

This season, one fabric stood out to me—not for its flamboyance, but for its quiet confidence. Suede.
There’s something magnetic about its texture—soft, matte, effortlessly elegant. I wanted to create a story that feels like a tactile experience through visuals, and that’s how Soft Power was born.

В этом сезоне один материал выделился особенно — не своей яркостью, а внутренней силой. Замша. Есть в ней что-то магнетическое — мягкая, матовая, элегантная без усилий. Я хотела создать историю, которую хочется не только видеть, но и чувствовать кожей. Так родилась Soft Power.

We opened with a strong, structured espresso-toned suit by Romeo Gigli. A modern armor. Masculine in cut, feminine in energy. It sets the tone: this woman is grounded, unshakable, and knows how to take up space without needing to dominate it.

My starting point was the idea of strength expressed through softness. Not loud, not sharp—but poised. Suede has that rare ability to hold shape while remaining fluid. It hugs the body without shouting for attention. That duality became the heartbeat of this editorial. I imagined a wardrobe built entirely from suede—tailored, minimal, sculptural. Pieces that whisper power instead of screaming status.

In a world overloaded with shine, sparkle, and overstimulation, I wanted to celebrate subtlety. Suede is the embodiment of that. It’s timeless, genderless, and grounded. It reminds us that luxury isn’t always loud—it can be soft, intimate, and deeply felt. Soft Power is a love letter to those who dress for themselves. Who feel before they flaunt. Layering suede can be tricky, but when done right, it’s magic. We paired a rich cognac overshirt with wide-leg trousers in a slightly lighter tone. Monochrome, but dimensional. The texture did all the talking.
