all what you need to see in Vietnam, from Ha Long Bay to Hoi An

In the heart of Southeast Asia lies a land of timeless beauty, where ancient traditions dance with modern marvels and flavors ignite the senses in a culinary symphony. Vietnam, with its rich tapestry of history and gastronomy, beckoned my boyfriend and me for a romantic adventure that would unfold amidst the sights, sounds, and tastes of this enchanting country.

Вьетнам с его богатой историей и гастрономией манил меня и моего парня на романтическое приключение, которое разворачивалось среди достопримечательностей, звуков и вкусов этой очаровательной страны.

Touching down in Hanoi, Vietnam’s vibrant capital, we were greeted by a bustling cityscape teeming with life and energy. Our journey commenced during the dry season, from November to April, when Vietnam reveals its most enchanting allure, promising temperate weather and clear skies for exploration.

We chose a local tour guide so that our itinerary would be guided by someone who is well-versed in Vietnam’s cultural treasures and hidden beauties. Every place we visited, from the historic alleyways of Hanoi to the lantern-lit lanes of Hoi An, revealed itself to us like a chapter in a well-loved book, full with secrets just waiting to be unearthed.

Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, captivated us with its ethereal beauty as we embarked on a day trip to explore its limestone karsts and emerald waters. The scene was reminiscent of a cinematic masterpiece, with nature’s grandeur casting a spell of awe and wonder upon us.

Our journey continued to Hue, where we ventured into a traditional scent-making village. Surrounded by the fragrant blooms of Vietnam’s botanical treasures, we learned the art of crafting essential oils and aromatic products, immersing ourselves in the sensory delights of Vietnamese culture.

New York fashion week entree and hot spots

If I can make it there I can make it anywhere, as Frank Sinatra sang in his song. And it’s clear as a water, when you are in crazy and beautiful New York.

Even there were rumours that fashion week is getting down, i am sure it showed itself on point. Was very lucky to stay whole week and attend numerous shows, events and to meet new people. When you are perceiving the vibe of New York you got the feeling that everything is possible… and it literally like this. Soho and Chelsea are the places to stay if you want to be surrounded with fashion crowd. Soho is very good for shopping and restaurants. Make sure to go to MAMO restaurant for lunch or dinner, they have pasta and pizza with truffles like in Italy and desserts that will drop you to heaven. My favourite shopping spot was Opening Ceremony which is couple of blocks away from restaurant.

When in midtown visit Public Library and Bryant Park … feed your cultural and history cravings. Marvellous ceilings and impressive chandeliers, spacious reading rooms filled with archived books, only one word to say “wow”!

Bryant park is a version of typical american lifestyle, you may sit there and enjoy a view with coffee and free wifi or just have a lunch in one of local restaurants. Eye-catching thing that is more family oriented park)))

I am sure if you are with a kids will spend great afternoon there. For business lunch in heart of big apple go to Bergdorf Goodman restaurant BG . Very good service , beautiful people and Bellini !!! Was surprised about the taste of the last one … if teleport would exist then with a help of this drink from BG. After lunch visit MET and check roof top garden “The Theatre of Disappearance” by Adrián Villar Rojas.

Surrealistic vision of Argentinian artist might give you some ideas of life senses… also this roof could be a great place to watch the sunset ) Other rooftop for magic sunset is in 1 hotel Brooklyn Bridge … completely other perspective with golden lights of skyscrapers totally worth a drink or two. Do you need some celebration dose? Go to Ethos Gallery – Greek restaurant at its best, sparkle of the place that everyone can feel that it’s your birthday… Enjoy

Если я могу сделать это здесь, я смогу сделать это везде, прям как из песни Фрэнк Синатра. Это чисто как вода, когда Вы находитесь в сумасшедшем и красивом Нью-Йорке. Были слухи, что неделя моды идет на упад , но я уверена, что она показала себя на высоте. Мне посчастливилось остаться на протяжении всей недели моды и присутствовать на многочисленных шоу, событиях и встретить новых интересных людей. Когда Вы чувствуете энергетику Нью-Йорка, появляется осознание того, что все возможно… и это буквально так здесь.

Сохо и Челси – идеальное место для проживания, если Вы хотите быть окруженными людьми из мира моды. Сохо отличен для шопинга и ресторанов. Обязательно зайдите в ресторан MAMO на обед или ужин, отведайте пасту и пиццу с трюфелями как в Италии и десертами, которые донесут к небесам. Моим любимым местом для шопинга было Opening Ceremony который, буквально в нескольких минутах от ресторана. Когда будете в midtown посетите Публичную библиотеку и Брайант-парк… насытьте вашу культурную и историческую тягу. Изумительные потолки и впечатляющие люстры, просторные читальные залы, заполненные книгами из архивов, остается только одно слово для описания “вау”! Брайант-парк – версия типичного американского образа жизни, Вы можете там посидеть и насладиться видом с кофе и бесплатным Wi-Fi или просто пообедать в одном из местных ресторанов. Что больше всего цепляет глаз, этот парк является более ориентированным на семейные посиделки)) я уверена, что Вы с детьми проведете там отличный день.

На деловой обед в сердце большого яблока сходите в ресторан Bergdorf Goodman BG. Замечательный сервис, красивые люди и Беллини!!! Была польщена вкусом последнего… если телепорт и существует тогда только с помощью этого напитка в BG. После обеда зайдите в МЕТ на крышу и посмотрите “Театр Исчезновения” сделаный Адрианом Вилларом Рохасом. Сюрреалистическое видение аргентинского художника могло бы дать Вам некоторое представление о смысле жизни … также, эта крыша может быть великолепным местом, для наблюдения заката) Еще одно пространство для волшебного заката – 1 hotel Brooklyn Bridge… полностью другая перспектива с золотистыми огнями небоскребов, стоит того на дринк или два. Вам нужна доза праздника ?? Пойдите в галерею Ethos – греческий ресторан в своих лучших традициях, шарм места в том, что все могут чувствовать свой день рождения… Попробуйте!

Zimmermann revisited the Gold Coast in her home country of Australia. The inspiration was clear in the majority of the hippie-ish clothes. Think flower-power chicks and boho surfer babes. Ultraviolet floral prints took on an edgier aesthetic. Zimmermann also tried her hand at board shorts but with flared hems, ruffles, and slits at the thigh. The white crochet dresses felt fresh and well-balanced within the collection, as did the simple, striped knitwear. The belted white trousers and gauzy button-down shirt combination was also quite lovely.

The satin slips managed to combine the innocence of the prairie—think patchwork quilting and sun-bleached vintage floral petticoats—with the vibrant energy of the dance floor. You can certainly imagine Gomez boogying the night away in one of the twinkling pieces.

There were many ruffled silk georgette gowns in baby pinks and pale blues to evoke mountain stream. Ethnic braided belts slipped around waists added a spice to every look. “She’s traveling!” was a taste of whole collection with several bohemian touches. There were swirling clouds and mountains picked out in blue silk threads through tea-length dress.

For the 1st day of fashion shows i chose Madonna inspired look , you may repeat it easily. Best of it that is comfy , chic and totally appropriate as for a day as well for a night.

Winter paradise faces magnificent Mount Fuji

Have you look around Japan enough? I believe that you can find a winter paradise blended with rich culture heritage there.

Apart from warm sake on every corner and no crowds there are so much to try …One of the most iconic is Mount Fuji that makes a part of UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site.

It’s been everywhere in Japanese art since ancient times when samurai warriors trained at the base and women were forbidden from climbing to the sacred summit.

Nowadays people travel from all over the world specifically to see this view; about 300,000 adventuresome souls climb to the summit annually.

Mount Fuji means “everlasting life.” Ironically at the northwest base of Fuji there are 14 sq miles (35-sq-km) that represent the opposite of life — the taking of life. Aokigahara Forest, also called the Sea of Trees, is infamous as a dense forest where troubled souls go to commit suicide.

Cult images of Irving Penn

One of 10 best photographers of the present according to the Popular Photography magazine, Irving Penn found his mission, not right away. In youth Penn was going to become a painter and studied at School of Arts, but soon he left this idea.

So the world lost the artist Irving Penn, but get future famous photographer. In 1943 on a cover of “Vogue” appeared his first photo, and this date can be considered the beginning of his outstanding career.

His images had a classic quality that meant his style didnt date over decades so he remains the longest serving photographer at Vogue in the history of Conde Nast.

Interior designer Elena Reich imbued a new life in this apartment with fabulous view on Notre Dame de Paris.

This Parisian interior represents both style the soft looking creamy and light grey iconic french interiors; and the fancy creative soul of the place made out of bright orange and purple shades all balanced by touches of dark black.

That was perfect occasion to place with cool furnitures already owned spiced up with brand new ones, heritage pieces and fine arts. Blend of the things is working everywhere)))

Hello dear readers! Hope autumn treat you with warm spices as it perks me))) was a bit abandoned from you while line up of birthday celebrations and trips were taking place full time … but now i am back in new age and with new story in. Want to tell you about spectacular woman Toni Frisell. She worked for American Vogue in 1930, where she was encouraged by editor Carmel Snow to experiment with photography.

Her mentor at Vogue was Mr. Conde Nast, and she was advised by Edward Steichen, who suggested her apprenticeship with Cecil Beaton. Instead of using studio lights, Frissell was lured of outdoors to natural settings, that inspired her.

Frissell earned a reputation for her fashion, documentary, and sports images that appeared in top magazines. During second World War, Frissell became official photographer for Red Cross in the United States, England, and Scotland.

She was sent to Europe to capture life in home front. On her return she was worked for Harpers Bazaar and pictured famous people of Europe and America in informal condition.

Among them were Winston Churchill ,Eleonora Roosevelt, John Jacqueline Kennedy.

In the same time she was working with Sports illustrated and Life magazines.

And she became 1st in a history staff woman correspondent photographer for Sports Illustrated and few decades to remain one of not many women, engaged with sport photography.

Хочу рассказать вам о захватывающей женщине Toni Frisell. Она работала для американского Vogue в 1930, где ее поощрял редактор Сноу Кармел, в экспериментах с фотографией.

Heroin chic Day, Corinne

A self taught photographer, Day broke the mold of fashion photography in the early 1990s the her raw, documentary style dubbed “heroin chic” by the press.

A former fashion model she started her career behind the camera by taking shoots of fellow models for their portfolios. She went to work in publication such as i-D, the Face and Ray Gun in early 90s, where she first worked with young Kate Moss, capturing the youngest moments of future supermodel

As the both found success, Day was chosen to shoot Moss for her first Vogue cover in april 1993.

Influenced by documentary art photography of Nan Goldin, Day began documenting the lives of her friends, with explicit approach that featured sex, drugs and hardship.

Later she returned to fashion photography, working with a Vogue and National Portrait Gallery. Check out her pictures and enjoy your stay sweets!!!

Château de Villandry garden of Love

While spring blooms and the sun activating its signal for outdoor chill out , bbq and picnic joy !!! Was missing this time a long cold winter months ))) If you like greener time as much as i do you would love stumbled castle located in Villandry, France.

It has the magnificent gardens that were built for love — and even the French name jardin de l’amour sounds divinely romantic. Château de Villandry gardens have been called the most romantic and beautiful gardens in France.

There is a love story behind Love Garden and the entire estate was designed with romantic symbolism from the Renaissance era. The Villandry has three garden styles, a formal water garden, a 2-part ornamental garden with topiary hedges ripe with symbolism for love including for the “Garden of Love” and the “Garden of Music,” and a huge decorative kitchen garden (potager). The gardens of Château de Villandry are an UNESCO World Heritage Site. I haven’t never seen anything like it.

In July there is an even more romantic reason to stroll through the Villandry due to Les Nuits des Mille Feux, meaning The Night of a Thousand Lights. 2,000 candles put out a romantic glow over the Château and gardens from sundown until after midnight. It’s not only a visual delight but audio as well since musicians playing Baroque music walk through the gardens. enjoy ❤

Скучала по этому долгие и холодные зимние месяцы))) Если Вам нравится более зеленое время так же, как и мне тогдва вы полюбите натолкнувшийся мне замок, расположенный в Вилландри, Франция.

В нем есть великолепные сады, которые были построены для любви — и даже французское имя, jardin de l’amour кажется божественно романтичным. Сады Château de Villandry назвали самыми романтичными и красивыми садами во Франции.
