Paris is always a good idea particularly during fashion week! All foie gras and caviar of the fashion world in one place: what can be better for avid fashionistas? Great Milanese weather perhaps, even though it was fantastic not without the signature fog of the city. Fashion crowd sitting at cafe charlotte and sipping coffee for hours was something like a part of the movie, from looks to people. Paris made us crave for next spring-summer collections and here are 5 hottest Maisons to covet:

Saint Laurent
Saint Laurent show was something between an open-air spectacle and a rock concert. Season was centered around what Yves Saint Laurent did in the 20th century — Le Smoking and his hippie deluxe Russian collection—and how Vaccarello systematically reworks, relaunches and reiterates it for a new generation. Reams of micro shorts and bermuda cutoff jeans; riffs on tailored jackets; funnel-leg Western boots. For a designer who has often kept to a strict and narrow canon of black, this was a softer, more delicate side to Vaccarello’s sensibility, and one rich with a kind of relatable, easy romanticism that young women haven’t been offered recently. Message? This is timeless Saint Laurent, not just for the leggy and skinny in their clubbing years but for all generations.

Chloe
Come up with a more refined message, shedding the bold prints and much of the boho accessorizing of past seasons and resisting any urge to fuss over a silhouette. The new collection has a foundational order to it. Ramsay-Levi’s Chloé stands for a silk lavaliere shirt, for a suit that’s strong but not unfeminine, for a shirtdress with interesting volume, and for a knit that feels particularly French. The romance so closely associated with the label was in full blossom too, on a handful of micro-floral-print frocks.

This was his third year of using only vegan, biodegradable “leather.” Plus, the cotton was organic, the denim was recycled, the lycra was made from reclaimed fishing net, and the silk was, he said, certified to have considerably less negative environmental impact than “normal” silk. It was business as usual with plenty of floating animal prints, tiger-zebra-mash-up striped jacquard hot pants and shirting, and a wide selection of white or black jersey dresses made to wind around the body as suggestively as possible. My personal obsession is full-and-ruffled-shirt, literally magic.

Isabel Marant
No matter the weather, the fantasy of a permanent vacation is never too far away at Isabel Marant. She seemed to be summoning a style-savvy festival girl for Spring, at least in the silhouette. That said, the details were a lot more considered than anything you’d find at Coachella—for one thing, her shorts had artfully scalloped edges. Marant has perfected the art of the slouchy denim pant, formerly known as the boyfriend jean. With an extra-long inseam, the new, slightly flared style was a nice evolution of the classic peg leg she’s been working for a while. What’s more, it looked just as good on the boys as it did the girls.

Alexander McQueen
Upcycled lace, organza, and tulle from prior seasons. Designer recycled and reinvented old patterns from both her and Alexander McQueen’s history and worked primarily with linen from Northern Ireland. In 4 words about collection: local, repurposed, conscious, artisanal. And spectacularly beautiful. This was by far the most exquisite collection of the season to date. Every piece was purposeful and important: a black evening suit with a slashed jacket to create a new spin on tails, with a lace-trimmed shirt elegantly spilling out, an asymmetric explosion of lace and ruffles anchored by half of a tailored jacket, the most powerful suits anywhere. This is the wardrobe of which dreams are made!!! When you make things with the right values, when you treat the earth and its citizens and their traditions with care and respect, when you take the time to truly care about every piece you create, you simply make better things…
Кружево, органза и шифон из предыдущих коллекций креативный директор Сара Бертон решила переработать для работы над новой: таким образом она воскресила и заново использовала архивы бренда. А из новых тканей она сделала ставку на локальный лен из Северной Ирландии. Эта коллекция была о локальном производстве, переработанных материалах, ручной работе и сознательном подходе к моде. И стоит ли говорить, что это было потрясающе красиво! Для меня показ Alexander McQueen стал самым любимым во всем сезоне. Каждый элемент был значимым и продуманным. Черный вечерний костюм с блейзером, из которого вырывались на свободу тонны кружева белой рубашки, – самый сильный образ на мой взгляд. Это гардероб мечты!!! Эта коллекция стала доказательством того, что, когда вещи создаются с правильным посылом, когда марка относится к планете и ее обитателям и их традициям с заботой и уважением, когда каждому образу уделяется должное время, вещи просто получаются лучше.
