Fuori Salone del Mobile pivotal of creativity
Миланская неделя дизайна -это наиболее важное и известное дизайн-событие в мире; которому уже более чем 50 лет. Ежегодно в апреле, в течение одной недели, официальная выставка Salone del Mobile и все связанные с ней события, с общим названием ‘FuoriSalone’, занимают центр и окрестности Милана, превращая город в центр творчества. Для меня как человека непосредственно мало относящегося к миру дизайна увлекательным было созерцание Fuori Salone. Для вас мои любимые читатели я подготовила лучшее из увиденного мной.
Milan design week is the most important and known design event in the world; It has already more than 50 years. Annually in April, within one week, the official Salone del Mobile exhibition and all related events, with the general name ‘FuoriSalone’, occupy the center and vicinities of Milan, turning the city into the center of creativity. For me as person which is directly poorly relating to design world was fascinating contemplation of Fuori Salone. For you my favourite readers I prepared the best of seen by me.

medium of seeing light Louise Dahl-Wolf
Setting up her New York studio in 1933, Dahl-Wolfe was shortly hired by Harpers Bazaar where she remained as a stuff photographer for over 20 years under formidable fashion direction of Diana Vreeland. A pioneer in the use of color photography including the juxtaposition of artwork in her portraiture and her use of natural light on location shoots, she is citied as an influence on later photographers such as Richard Avedon and Irving Penn.
I believe that the camera is a medium of light, that one actually paints with light. In using the spotlights with reflecting lights, I could control the quality of the forms revealed to build a composition. Photography, to my mind, is not a fine art. It is splendid for recording a period of time, but it has definite limitations, and the photographer certainly hasn’t the freedom of the painter. One can work with taste and emotion and create an exciting arrangement of significant form, a meaningful photograph, but a painter has the advantage of putting something in the picture that isn’t there or taking something out that is there. I think this makes painting a more creative medium.

James Bond movie Skyfall inspiration – abandoned Hashima town
This abandoned island with crumbling concrete buildings was the inspiration for the evil dude’s hacking headquarters in the latest James Bond movie Skyfall. Yes, hacking, cyberwar and an abandoned island city are all parts of ‘Skyfall. It was too dangerous here to truly film the secret lair of a 007 villain, so it was reproduced to “make everything real.” Hashima Island, also called Gunkanjima meaning Battleship Island, is Japan’s ultimate industrial ruins ghost town. The island was bought by Mitsubishi in 1890 to mine undersea coal. It was the first place that Japan built large concrete buildings up to 9 stories high, and was constructed to withstand the destructive forces of a typhoon. The island at one point had a population of 5,259, but that did not last. 39 years after it was abandoned virtually overnight, time and nature are winning the battle. Considered creepy by some with all the trappings of home but no people, some folks started to call the abandoned island, ‘Ghost Island.’ Folks interested in history are pleased that portions of Hashima reopened to tourists in 2009. This is the first ‘lost city’ in modern times and with the James Bond movie Skyfall, the infamous island has become even more famous…
