My 5 Favourite Spring/Summer 2022 Trends

The days are getting hotter and hotter, and I can’t wait more to give you my style advice about what to wear in the next – and the best – season. Here are the 5 biggest trends I recommend to try: daring, sexy and all about provocative Y2k aesthetics, but so easy to try in everyday life.

1. The Little Top

Short and comfy, the small crop tops are leading in the lists of summer trends. I like the knitted ones, as they add some retro spice to my looks. Opt for asymmetric cuts (I love one shoulder styles), look for appealing cut-offs and bold colours. Otherwise, choose a nude one and wear it with literally everything.

The low rise cut was the hottest thing happening at the runways. The rule of extremely low waist (as fashion world loved in early 2000s) is valid both for denim and for the tailored pants. I’m planning to invest in a good pair of light blue jeans and some coloured pants to wear with strappy sandals.

3. The Bold Colors

Summer is not summer without bright and joyful colours, and this season will not be an exception. As the designers are totally in love with Y2K period, the shades are bold and daring, like neon variations of green, yellow, pink and violet. My favourite is lime green and fuchsia, I adore them for jackets, dresses and shoes.

You cannot go wrong with a pair of high heel mules this season. The favourite shoe of 2000s and 1990s are the best buy for those for are still in doubt. I go crazy about the Attico mules, but some vintage finds or a Zara rhinestone retro vibe sandal can do a great game, too.

The other big trend are Loewe’s funny heel strappy sandals. If you have the budget for the original ones and for a mass market copy, it will be a great investment as they will definitely become a collectible item. I’m in love with the soap chunky heel and the rose stiletto.

Let it be as sexy as possible, just as in the hottest 2000s. Transparent or mesh, flowy with thigh high cut outs, gathered at the hip with some thin straps…. Maxi or mini? It’s up to you, the important thing is to raise the grade of sensuality.

How to Wear a Scarf as a Top: Hurry Up to Try the Hottest Trend

These last summer days is THE time to try some of the most interesting micro-trends. I don’t ask you to buy anything new – I know you need to refresh the Fall wardrobe instead of hot weather shopping. But there’s one trend that everyone can try without investing any budget! Yes, I’m talking about the scarf top. And I love it!

There are plenty of ways to style a scarf as a top, but I go for the simplest and the hottest option of Summer-2021: a a bow tie in the front. It’s the ultimate version of sensual crop top you can wear. Just fold your carré silk scarf to form a triangle, leave the angle on the back and tie a knot in the middle of the décolleté.

This scarf top adds a pinch of joyful prints to my everyday wardrobe in summer. Au bord de la mer I wear it with classic bermuda shorts in white, a straw hat and my vintage chain belt to t reflect the luxurious seaside spirit of elegant and classy Monte Carlo. But this of a scarf as a top should be definitely saved for the Fall wardrobe as well! I already imagine wearing it with a sleek blazer and matching trousers, or jeans and trench. Just play!

Smelling Southern Spring in Sorrento

This time I headed to one of the most beautiful spots in Italy to shoot an editorial as stylist. The location was Villa Astor in Sorrento, a historical villa on the top of the rocks above endless Tyrrhenian Sea. It’s such a luck to be kissed by spring sun – and to try all new transitional season trends the seem to be made for for Italian-loving jetsetters!

На этот раз я отправилась в одну из самых красивых точек в Италии на съемки фешн-истории в качестве стилиста. Локацией стала вилла Астор в Сорренто, историческое поместье, раскинувшееся на скалах над бескрайним Тирренским морем. Какая удача: получить первый загар под нежным весенним южным солнцем, и при этом примерить все последние межсезонные тренды для джетсеттеров, влюбленных в Италию!

This lightweight trench and pants duo from Tod’s is one of my favourite pieces for May. It’s created to fit every occasion and weather changes. The trench is perfect as a cover-up to be stylishly protected from the wind. I loved wearing it over the denim bustier which looked great with high-waisted pants. This look will work well with all flat shoes, but my choice is a pair of sleek flat slides, an absolute must have for summer.

Sorrento inspires me to create fashion looks which pays homage to Italian dolce vita of 60s and 70s. Thinking about young actresses vacationing at Amalfi coast in some 1968, I decided to try a vintage-looking suede mini skirt. Just add a knitted long sleeve polo top to give a retro vibe, and maybe a pair of low-heel pumps. The white ones enhance the tan!

The hues of blue is the main color theme in Sorrento. So why not blend with it to feel yourself in total harmony with the landscape? I adore denim, so it’s my way to wear blue head to toe. The denim bustier work wonders with a pair of classic jeans and my favourite Tod’s denim loafers. To top the look, I chose a masculine striped shirt to add some different texture. Don’t feel limited with the jewellery: golden chains and denim are a match made in heaven.
