Clifford Coffin is often named the greatest of Vogue magazine’s ‘lost’ photographers – and it’s easy to see why. His career was very brief, the majority of the works were ruined in the fire in his studio, and today it’s almost impossible to find much information about him. Still, his images were, without doubt, some of the best and innovative of the 1950s.
