Рим стал мои любимым местом побега на выходные от суеты индустриального Милана. Я беру билеты в Вечный город, когда мне хочется вдохнуть великой красоты и прогуляться по улицам, которые дышат историей. Но Рим для меня – не только удовольствие: я часто приезжаю сюда по работе, как вышло с моей последней fashion-съемкой для журнала Creators Mag. Каким бы ни был повод, одно остается неизменным: я всегда останавливаюсь в дизайн-апартаментах G Rough в двух шагах от площади Навона.
Rome is my favorite gateway for a weekend when I crave to relax from industrial Milan. This is when I buy tickets to the Eternal city: to breathe some great beauty and stroll around the streets full of ancient history. But Rome is not only for pleasure: I often come for work, as for my latest fashion story that I’ve recently styled for Creators magazine. Whatever the reason, I always stay at G Rough design apartments close to Piazza Navona.
G Rough – это скорее стильный дом для своих, чем отель. Его открыл палаццо XVII века римлянин Габриэле Салини, который вдохновлялся культовым итальянским дизайном 30-60хх годов. Его идеей было создать не эстетически безупречный интерьер, а пространство, а настоящий арт-объект, в котором необработанные стены и старинные деревянные балки сочетаются с современными объектами авторства Джо Понти, Ико Паризи и Venini.
G Rough is more of a stylish house for friends than a hotel. It was opened in an XVII century palazzo by a Roman Gabriele Salini, who was inspired by iconic Italian design of the 30s and 60s. His idea was not to create perfect interiors but to make the spaces look like an art object, where the rough surfaces of the walls and old wood beams are mixed with contemporary design elements Ico Parisi, Giò Ponti and Venini.
В G Rough всего 7 сьютов, поэтому здесь я чувствую себя как дома. Особенно этому способствует Гостиная Sito Room на первом этаже, где можно отдохнуть с чашкой чая или даже приготовить панини на открытой кухне. А на вечерний коктейль в Gallery Bar на бокал вина собирается вся римская богема: архитекторы, фотографы и галеристы. Остановившись здесь, можно даже не выходить на улицу: жизнь кипит прямо в стенах.
G Rough has only seven suites, which adds to the homey atmosphere. This feel can be also experienced at Sito living room on the ground floor, where I would relax with a cup of tea or make a panino at the open kitchen. At aperitivo time you would see all the Roman bohemians at Gallery bar: architects, photographers and art gallerists. That is why you can even skip going out: all life is pulsing right here.
