Свои зимние каникулы я провела в Кортине д’Ампеццо – культовом горнолыжном курорте в Доломитовых Альпах. Кататься на лыжах в Кортину уже больше века съезжаются джетсеттеры со всего мира: в 60-х самых модных девушек в нарядах après-ski здесь фотографировал Слим Ааронс, а в 1969-м в Кортине снимался Джеймс Бонд с Джорджем Лезенби, “На службе ее Величества”.

This year I spent my winter holidays in Cortina d’Ampezzo, an iconic ski resort in the Italian Dolomites. It’s more than a century that jetsetters from all over the world come to Cortina to ski. In 60’s the most fashionable ladies in après-ski outfits were photographed here by Slim Aarons, and in 1969 a James Bond movie was shot here – “At Her Majesty’s Secret Service” with George Lazenby.

Намного больше горных лыж мне нравится сноуборд: именно поэтому я провела все пять дней отдыха, стоя на доске. Без падений тоже не обошлось, но в конце трека нас всегда ждал горячий глинтвейн для подкрепления сил.

I do prefer snowboarding to ski: that is why I’ve spent all the five days on the board. Of course, I fell a lot as well, but at the end of the track, there always was a cup of mulled wine to warm us up and give some strength.

В перерывах между катаниями я расслаблялась в горячем открытом бассейне спа-курорта Bad Moods. Нет ничего более приятнее для мышц после спуска, чем плавать с видом на заснеженные горы.

After riding my snowboard all day I would go to relax in the open-air swimming pool of Bad Moods Spa Resort. There’s nothing more pleasant than chilling in the warm water admiring the view of the mountains topped with snow.

На ланч отправляйтесь на открытую террасу пансиона Rifugio Scoiattoli на снежных холмах: его винтажная стилистика напоминает о том, как обедали в Кортине в 60-х. А для особенного ужина нет ничего лучше, чем переосмысленная на манер haute cuisine кухня Доломитов. На утренний кофе или вечерний аперитив зайдите в Bar delle Poste.

For a lunch with a view go to Rifugio Scoiattoli. Its vintage interiors remind me of how they dined in Cortina in 1960’s. And for a special dinner, there’s nothing better than Da Aurelio, where they rethink traditional cuisine of the Dolomites in a modern manner. For a morning coffee ritual or for the evening’s aperitivo head to Bar delle Poste.
